  • How do I find the items I want in the online shop?

    The Deichmann online shop offers you two ways to find the item you want:

    1. Use the main menu categories “Women”, “Men”, “Girls”, “Boys”, “Sport” or “Brands” and then narrow your search using further filtering criteria until you find your choice of items.

    2. Use our free text search and enter the desired item number (7 digits), the product name, product type, style, brand, colour or similar criterion. We deliver all the items and information available for your search.

  • Can I search online for items at shops?

    Deichmann offer you a special service. Under the menu item “Search shops”, you can look for merchandise in your size at the nearest shop. Just enter the postal code, item number and desired size, and start your search. If your search result shows more than one shop, just select the shop you want. This will be displayed to you on a map with the Deichmann logo. Click once on the logo to get all the relevant information on the shop.

    By the way: You can call up the shop search from each individual item!

  • What can I do if my item is sold out online?

    If an item isn’t available online, just use the shop search and then buy the shoe you want at your nearest Deichmann shop.

    You can also get advice from the associates at our service centre. You can reach it toll-free at 0800 / 50 20 500 Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

  • Are all the products in the online shop also available in a shop?

    Every item that you see in the Deichmann online shop is also available at local shops. However, for many items there are additional sizes or widths that are only available online. These include extra large or extra small sizes, additional widths for Elefanten shoes and extra leg widths for boots.

  • Are there price differences between the online shop and the brick-and-mortar shops?

    There is usually no price difference between the prices online and at local shops. However, there can be differences in temporary sales. This means that there are discount sales that take place only in the online shop or only in the local shops. However, the price on each item is always valid.

  • What do the various product indicators mean?

    XXL: This item is available in extra large sizes, in addition to the standard sizes.

    XXS: This item is available in extra small sizes, in addition to the standard sizes.

    Best price: Deichmann offers this item at an exclusive low price.

    50% off: This item is temporarily on sale at half price.

  • Can I display recently viewed items again?

    So that you won’t lose the overview, we gather the recently viewed items for you. You can always find them at the home page or on the product detail pages in the “Recently viewed” area.

  • Are the items in the online shop really available?

    We normally don’t offer you anything that isn’t in stock. This ensures that you won’t have to wait long for your favourite shoes. Unfortunately, we can’t say anything here about future deliveries. So you’re best off getting the article you want right away!

    Our tip: If an item is sold out, just use our search of local shops.

  • Does the Deichmann online shop have a minimum order value?

    No. You don’t have to order a minimum amount to buy from the Deichmann online shop.

  • How can I order from Deichmann online?

    1. Filling your basket
    First search our offerings for the items you want, and put them into your shopping basket with the right sizes and colours. Whenever you move the mouse over the shopping basket symbol at the upper right, you will always see an overview of the items in the basket.

    2. Go to checkout
    Finished placing items in your basket? Then go to checkout! Just click on the “Go to checkout” symbol.

    3. Registration / login
    If it hasn’t happened yet, you will now be asked to log in or register.
    If you are already a customer, enter your e-mail address and your personal password here. If you have forgotten your password, you can request a new one.
    If you are new to our online shop, register with your e-mail address and a personal password, and fill out the appropriate fields in the form. You can find all information on data security here.

    4. Delivery method
    With Deichmann, you can have your order delivered by Hermes or UPS. There is no difference in the two companies’ delivery costs. Only their services are different.

    Please note: Only Hermes delivers to Hermes parcel shops. Unfortunately, delivery to parcel stations is generally not possible.

    5. Payment method
    Then select our preferred payment method . Deichmann offers you various ways to pay for your order: Credit card, PayPal, GiroPay and COD.

    6. Inspection
    The order overview lets you inspect your entries again. If you want to make changes, just click on the “Edit” button.

    For customers who have already ordered from the Deichmann online shop, we make the next order as easy as possible: Your previous entries are stored in your profile, and they are already filled in the next time you buy. Naturally, at “My Account”, you can view your data at any time and make changes or deletions.

    7. Place your order
    When you click the “Place your order” button, we receive your order. Next you will receive an e-mail confirming your order.

    Tip: If you decide that you don’t want to buy an item that is in your order, you can cancel the item in your customer account as long as the goods have not been packed and as long as no discount has been claimed. 

    10. Delivery
    Generally, goods are delivered  within 48 hours of the next business day. As soon as the goods have been handed over to the selected delivery service, we let you know by e-mail.

    Furthermore, you can track your current delivery status using the confirmation number. You will receive this by e-mail in the delivery information.

  • Does the Deichmann online shop have an order limit?

    For each order, and for all payment methods, the order limit is €400.00. Customers who are allowed to pay by invoice have the further limitation that the total of all open orders cannot exceed € 400.00.

  • Why do I have to register?

    Registration lets Deichmann offer you several advantages:

    • Use of a different delivery address.
    • Starting with the second order, a faster order process thanks to stored data.
    • An overview of your previous orders in your customer account, and their corresponding delivery and payment statuses.
    • The ability to cancel items up to the time they are packed.
    • The ability to return goods free of charge on your own.
    • The ability to save a watch list.

  • I’ve forgotten my password. What do I do?

    If you want to access your customer account or log in during an order, but you’ve forgotten your password, click on the “Forgotten your password?” button. Next, when a window opens, enter the e-mail address you used to register with Deichmann. Then we will send an e-mail to your box with a new password that you can log in with. For your own safety, we ask you go to “My Account” and replace this with a new password.

  • What is a coupon code?

    From time to time Deichmann offers its customers special discounts, over the Deichmann e-mail service, for example. For these you will receive a specific code that you can use to get exclusive offers, services or discounts. When ordering, just enter the code into the “coupon code” field to take advantage of the offer.

    Attention: Only one coupon code can be redeemed per order.

  • How will I know if my order has gone through?

    After each order, you will get confirmation from Deichmann by e-mail. Additionally, you can view your current order status at any time through your customer account. If you have further questions, Deichmann customer service is available toll-free at 0800 / 50 20 500 Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

  • Can a price change after I have ordered?

    The price shown at the time or your order is the price you will pay. Later price changes have no effect on your order.

  • Can I change my order later?

    After you place your order, you can cancel items on your own through your customer account. Log into your customer account and open the order. After each item you will find a cancellation button that you can use to delete items from your order. This option is available only as long as the items have not been packed yet. As soon as the order is in fulfilment, this button disappears.

    Attention: Removing items may result in increased delivery costs, depending on the remaining value of the order (if it slips below the €10.00 limit, for example). Items CANNOT be cancelled if a discount has been applied to the order.

  • What should I do if I get an error message?

    For a successful order, we need several pieces of information from you (such as name and address). The required fields are marked with an asterisk and ask for entries without which we cannot fulfil your order. There are also voluntary entries (such as birth date and telephone number) that either help us communicate with you or to tailor our offers to you. If you receive error messages here, follow the corresponding instructions.

  • Where do I find the general business conditions?

    You can find the general business conditions using the appropriate menu item at the bottom of the page. Additionally, while ordering, you will be directed to our general business conditions and the link to them, because confirming acceptance of the conditions is necessary for ordering.

  • How do I pay in the Deichmann online shop?

  • Which credit cards can I use?

    The Deichmann online shop accepts the following credit cards:

    The credit card is not charged until the moment the package is dispatched, and is reimbursed at the moment returned goods reach our facility.

    As an extra security measure, we offer you the 3-D Secure process, “Verified by Visa” and MasterCard SecureCode. After you have entered your Visa or MasterCard number in the order screen, we connect to your credit card issuer, so that they can confirm your identity using a code. Payment takes place only after successful authentication. This extra safety step is meant to prevent abuse due to stolen or duplicate credit cards

    For your own security, have your card-issuing bank inform you about using the new 3-D Secure process and have your card registered right away.

  • What is PayPal?

    PayPal is an online service that lets you pay quickly, simply and securely over the Internet. PayPal is a subsidiary of eBay. However, beyond eBay, you can also currently use PayPal in 20,000 online shops in Germany and about 160,000 shops all over Europe. The Deichmann online shop is one of them.

    Here’s how it works: You store your data one time in a PayPal account. On the Deichmann order page, just select PayPal as the payment method. After placing the order, on the PayPal page confirm payment by entering the e-mail address and password you have stored with them.

    With PayPal, you pay for your purchases without entering your banking information or credit card number on the order page (because your data are stored at PayPal).

  • How do I use GiroPay?

    With GiroPay, you pay in the Deichmann online shop with a simple online transfer.
    After you have chosen GiroPay as the payment method, you enter your bank’s routing number in the Deichmann online shop and are securely directed to your bank’s login page. There, as usual, you will log in with your account number and PIN. The system automatically displays a transfer that contains all the details of your purchase: the invoice amount, the purpose, and the merchant’s bank information. Enter a TAN to authorize the transfer. In the third and last step of the GiroPay transfer, you receive a printable confirmation of successful payment. Then you are directed to the Deichmann confirmation page.

  • How does COD payment work?

    COD is a form of cash payment. Payment is made in cash directly to the parcel delivery person at the time of delivery. Because this payment method costs more, we have to levy a COD surcharge of €2.50, which is included in the invoice amount. Please make sure you have the exact invoice amount ready, because the delivery person does not carry change.

    If you want to return delivered items, please provide your bank information on the return slip, so that we can transfer the appropriate amount to your account. Alternatively, you can return the goods to one of our 1,200 local shops, as usual. There you will be reimbursed in cash.

    Attention: Please understand that the COD payment method is not available if you want delivery to a Hermes parcel shop, because the parcel shop owner cannot pay in advance.

  • How does sofortüberweisung.de work?

    "sofortüberweisung.de" is a real-time bank transfer system at a high security level of online banking and TÜV certified data protection. This makes it a useful option for every holder of an online bank account.

    And this is how it works:
    Select sofortüberweisung.de as payment option within our order process and send your order. You are then forwarded to the TUV certified and secure sector of sofortüberweisung.de. The form, which is shown there, already contains all data from your order which is required for the bank transfer. Enter your bank's sort code and click on "continue". You are then asked - as with online banking - to enter your account number and your PIN. Click again on "continue". Last enter the required TAN and confirm the transaction. You are then transferred back to Deichmann, where you can finally confirm your order.

  • Can I pay by direct debit?

    Unfortunately, the Deichmann online shop does not offer direct debit. However, with the PayPal method, you can pay by direct debit.

  • Can I redeem a Deichmann coupon?

    For now, coupons can only be obtained and redeemed in local Deichmann shops.

  • Is there a credit check?

    Deichmann does not perform credit checks. However, Deichmann reserves the right to exclude customers from online purchases if they appear to attempt fraud. Generally, order volumes above €400.00 are not allowed. Furthermore, the total of open orders is checked to see if it exceeds the €400.00 limit. If that is the case, unfortunately we cannot accept further orders.

  • Is payment in the Deichmann online shop safe?

    The security of your data is Deichmann’s highest priority. Your payment data will be used only to pay for goods that you have ordered. Deichmann uses SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption when transmitting any personal data. You can find more information on this in the Technology chapter or in our data privacy terms.

    In addition, for credit card payments we offer the new “Verified by Visa” and MasterCard SecureCode security processes. For your own security, have your card-issuing bank inform you about using the new 3-D Secure process and have your card registered right away.

  • Who delivers my items?

  • Do I have to pay delivery costs?

    At Deichmann, we don’t think much of high delivery charges. So, as usual, we’ve tightened the screws on costs.

  • Can I have an order sent to any address?

    Deichmann delivers the order to any address you choose. That means, for example, that you can have your items sent to your office, if you’re seldom at home. Unfortunately, delivery to parcel stations is not possible. Deliveries to Hermes parcel shops must be made by our delivery partner Hermes.

  • When will I get my parcel?

    We want you to get your items as quickly as possible. Generally, we deliver your order within 48 hours of the next business day (excluding weekends and holidays).

    Attention: Only Hermes delivers on Saturday.

  • Is there express delivery?

  • What if I’m not at home?

  • Can I have my parcel delivered at a specific time?

  • What happens if the parcel cannot be delivered?

    If the parcel cannot be delivered, it is sent back to Deichmann. As soon as we receive the goods, we inform you by e-mail.

  • Can I have my order sent to a parcel station?

    Delivery to parcel stations is currently not possible. However, we will continuously expand our services for your benefit.

  • How can I return an item?

    We offer you three easy ways to return your article free of charge within 14 days of delivery.

    Return to approximately 1,200 Deichmann shop locations:

    • You can find the shop nearest you using our location finder at www.deichmann.com.
    • Take the undamaged goods — always in their original shoebox — to your local shop.
    • Please don’t forget the completed return slip.
    • The local shop will pay you the invoice amount for the item in cash (MINUS delivery and payment costs).
    • Naturally, you can also exchange the goods at the local shop for a product of the same value.
     
    Returns through Hermes:
     
    • Simply log into your customer account online and open the order information. Here you can register your return and print out the sticker for your parcel. Our customer service would also be glad to help you. With our sticker, you pay nothing for the return.
    • The goods must be returned undamaged in their original shoebox. Make sure you include the completed return slip.
    • Now you can return the parcel to any of more than 14,000 Hermes parcel shops. You can find your parcel shop’s address and hours at www.myhermes.de.
    • If you would like to arrange pick-up at your home, please contact our free Deichmann customer service.
     
    Returns through UPS:

    • Simply log into your customer account online and open the order information. Here you can register your return and print out the sticker for your parcel. Our customer service would also be glad to help you. With our sticker, you pay nothing for the return.
    • The goods must be returned undamaged in their original shoebox. Make sure you include the completed return slip.
    • Then contact UPS directly to arrange a pick-up time.

  • What should I be aware of when making a return?

    Please be aware of the following:

    • The article has to be returned undamaged together with the completed return slip; if possible in the original shoe box.
    •  Please note that the free of charge return must be carried out by UPS or Hermes. Unpaid returns via another carrier cannot be accepted by Deichmann. 
    •  Please retain your customer copy until you have been reimbursed with the purchase price.
    •   In case of complaints or discrepancies please contact our free customer service immediately.

  • How do I find out if the return has been received?

    As soon as your returned goods are received, we inform you by e-mail.

  • Does the return cost me anything?

    We generally offer returns free of charge. Always register your return through UPS or Hermes in your customer account or with Deichmann customer service at the toll-free number 0800 / 50 20 500 (Mon. through Fri. from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sat from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.) so that we can provide you with a sticker for free return delivery.

  • Can I exchange an item?

    Items can be exchanged only in our local shops. In our online shop you can only place a new order.

  • How and when do I get my money back?

    If you return items to one of our 1,300 local shops, you get the purchase price back in cash right away.

    If you return items through our delivery partners UPS and Hermes, you will be credited the purchase price when the goods reach our facility. If you have paid by credit card, the amount will be credited to your card. If you have paid through PayPal, the amount will be credited to your PayPal account. If you have paid through GiroPay, the amount will be transferred to your bank account. If you have paid COD, please include your bank account information on the return form, so that we can make a make a transfer there also.

    Attention: Delivery and payment charges are generally not reimbursed.

  • Why do I have to register?

    You can register with the Deichmann online shop at any time. You will find registration either within the order or under the menu item “My Account” at the upper right in the online shop.

  • How can I log in?

    If you have placed items in your basket and taken them “to checkout”, you will automatically be asked to log in. You can also log in at “My Account” to the upper right of the Deichmann online shop.

  • I’ve forgotten my password. What now?

    If you want to access your customer account or log in during an order, but you’ve forgotten your password, click on the “Forgotten your password?” button. Next, when a window opens, enter the e-mail address you used to register with Deichmann. Then we will send an e-mail to your box that contains a personal link for setting a new password.

  • What happens to my data?

    We are very serious about protecting your privacy. All information that we collect from you is handled in accordance with the legal requirements for data protection. This means that we treat your data with strict confidentiality and do not give it to third parties. If you would like detailed information on this, you can find it under the Technology menu item or in the Data Protection area.

  • Can I change my data?

    You can view and change your data in your secure customer account at any time (under “My Account” on the menu). You can also completely terminate your account there.

  • How can I register with the e-mail service?

    Take advantage of the Deichmann to receive our regular updates on current offers, trends and tips. Just click on the “Deichmann E-mail Service” area at the bottom of the page and enter your e-mail address and full name. If you already have a customer account, you can also activate the Deichmann E-mail Service there. To make sure that no one else has entered your e-mail address, you will then receive an e-mail with a confirmation link. Only after you click on this link can we include you in our e-mail service.

  • How can I cancel my subscription to the e-mail service?

    Would you like to cancel or suspend your Deichmann E-mail Service subscription? Just click on the “unsubscribe” link in the last e-mail. You can also log into your customer account, go to the appropriate area, and deactivate the service.

  • Is payment safe at the Deichmann online shop?

  • What is SSL encryption?

    SSL is a modern Internet security standard with two main goals:
    To authenticate (verify the identity) of mutually communicating stations and to guarantee data confidentiality (encoding). Deichmann uses SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption when transmitting any personal data. SSL is a process developed by Netscape that is supported by all modern browsers. The World Wide Web server (such as http://www.deichmann.com) receives a digital certificate issued by an official certification body (such as www.trustcenter.de). Using this certificate, the browser can check the server’s affiliation with a company. Then all data sent between you and Deichmann are encrypted, so that no third party can read or change them.

    For this purpose, our WWW server and your browser use a secret key that is valid for just one session and cannot be used later. This guarantees the confidentiality of your personal data. You’ll recognize a secure transfer by the key symbol in your browser. Internet sites that offer encrypted content have addresses containing “https” instead of “http”.

  • Web browser settings?

    The Deichmann websites are optimized for a screen resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels. For browsers, we recommend Mozilla Firefox (version 3 or newer), Microsoft Internet Explorer (version 7 or newer) and Safari (version 3 or newer). There can be visual differences if you use another browser. For correct display of the website, we strongly recommend that the Adobe Flash browser plug-in be installed and that JavaScript be activated.

  • Why is the site so slow on my computer?

    Due to the general technical conditions for data transfer over the Internet, the data transfer speeds responsible for page layout can vary a great deal. Data transfer depends on the access medium used (such as a modem, ISDN card, cable modem, dedicated line), your Internet service provider, the traffic on the data network in general, and last but not least, the traffic on Deichmann’s system.

  • What should I do if I get an error message?

  • How can I print the current page?

    Generally, you can print any page of the Deichmann site by using your browser’s print command or with the key combination Control + P. In many important places we have prepared pint-optimized pages for you. For those, just click on the print option offered. This will take you to the print-optimized page that you can then print out using your browser’s print function or the key combination Control + P. If your browser supports JavaScript, this function is partially automated.
