If winter is the time for dressing up to the nines for parties and celebrations such as Christmas and new years, going to tonnes of effort to look preened and perfect, then isn’t it great that we now get to enjoy spring – an altogether more relaxed time of year? I don’t know what it is about the sunshine but there’s something about the long evenings that make us finally be able to slow down – to switch off and take life so much less seriously.

And the same can be said for the fashion. Although there are lots of lovely occasions in spring/summer where dressing up as brightly as you can is a must –such as summer weddings, and garden parties– there are also so many more opportunities to sit and laze around in the sunshine. Festivals and barbecues and walks in the park with our loved ones are just a few of our favourites.

So with this different pace of life comes a different requirement in terms of fashion. We all treasure our high heels and sandals but it’s also important to love our casual shoes and have bright exciting choices for every outfit.
