After report Meet & Greet Sugababes
Buenos Dias Barcelona, Hola Sugababes!
They had to be a little bit patient, the lucky winner Ana Carolina and her friend Amy, who had won the Meet & Greet with the Sugababes.
But all the waiting - from receiving the prize up to finally getting on to the plane to Barcelona - was definitely well worth it.
Early in the morning of 04.08.2008, Ana Carolina and Amy were picked up in their home town of Paderborn to start the journey to Hanover Airport by transfer bus. After a light breakfast consisting of a cup of coffee and a croissant, Ana Carolina and Amy boarded the plane to start their journey at 10:05 a.m. via Switzerland in the direction of Spain, where the plane landed on time shortly before 2 p.m. at Aeroporto de Barcelona.
Being greeted by glorious sunshine, a chauffeur driven first class limousine took them to the 5 Star Hotel Majestic in the city of Barcelona, where an exclusive junior suite waited for them.
After a short rest, the two lucky participants began to explore the pulsing life of the city, strolling through the many shops along the Paseo de Gracia and the surrounding shopping malls to find the perfect outfit for meeting the Sugababes.
After their exhausting shopping trip through the streets of Barcelona, Ana Carolina and Amy were able to relax with a small aperitif in the Piano Bar of the hotel. A short time later they were picked up by a limousine to enjoy a delicious evening meal in the stylish restaurant “El Merendero de la Mari” in the dock area or the at the “El Tragaluz” in the elegant Eixample quarter. The beautiful ambience of the harbour, the lights of the restaurants and bars and last but not least the fantastic weather got them in the right mood for exploring Barcelona’s nightlife.
A local guide of the scene took Ana Carolina and Amy to the hippest bars and clubs of the Catalan metropolis and both girls happily celebrated and danced to the sounds of great music into the small hours of the morning.
On Tuesday morning, 05.08.2008, after a good breakfast, both girls were ready to explore the city of Barcelona. Before their eagerly anticipated meeting with the Sugababes, Ana Carolina and her girlfriend were able to experience the city once again at first hand. Taking them on an exclusive city tour in a first class limousine, a German-speaking guide showed our winners the most beautiful and important sights, such as the Gran Via, La Sagrada Familia, Paseo de Gracia, Quadrat d´Or, Barrio Gotico, the Montjuïc Hills as well as the Olympic stadium.
And then at lunchtime things got more and more exiting…
At about 1.30 p.m., Ana Carolina’s and Amy’s chauffeur took them to the TV set, where they were able to explore the setting and get an exclusive glance behind the scenes… suddenly the Sugababes appeared in the especially arranged catering area. Unbelievable! The Sugababes – so incredibly close!
Before the Meet & Greet, Ana Carolina and Amy were allowed to enjoy a delicious lunch at the set. And the highlight: completely unexpected, suddenly the Sugababes were sitting at the neighbouring table .. as if it was the most natural thing in the world.
After their lunch, our winners had the opportunity of watching the Sugababes whilst they were filming the spot. Amazing, how many people are involved in such a production. The hectic hustle and bustle with the stars on the set – an absolutely unique experience!
And then at last! Amelle, Heidi and Keisha came to meet Ana Carolina and Amy! The Sugababes were completely easy going and incredibly friendly. They exclusively signed a pair of shoes from the Graceland Star Collection and chatted relaxed with our winners.
At the end, the stars were happy to have their photos taken with Ana Carolina and Amy. A beautiful memory.
To round a great day off, our winners went to an exclusive Tapas restaurant in the evening. Still exited from the events of the day, they enjoyed delicious tapas and spoke about their adventures during the day and their entire journey. After the meal, the entire team went on a walk towards Barcelona’s harbour, to stretch their legs during a joint stroll along the beach promenade and to once again enjoy the breathtaking views to the coast. Completely exhausted after two eventful days but very happy Ana Carolina and Amy returned to their suite.
On their last morning, the two enjoyed a scrumptious breakfast at the hotel and slowly let the journey fade away in the pool area of the hotel before starting their return journey to Paderborn at lunchtime, not only with their suitcases packed but with many beautiful memories of wonderful events.
At 2.45 p.m. the journey took them from Barcelona via Zurich back to Hanover, where the machine landed on time shortly before 6.35 p.m. at Hanover Airport.
During the whole three days, every step of our winners Ana Carolina and her girlfriend was accompanied by a camera team and photographers.
