Because their feet are still soft and deformable, children hardly experience any pain. Therefore, they don’t notice when their shoes have become too small. They might even wear shoes, which are 4 sizes too small without complaining about it. Damaged feed are often the result of unsuitable footwear. Children's feet should be measured every three months: a child’s foot can grow 2 - 3 sizes in only one year. It is important to measure length as well as width.

- Always use our measuring template to establish your child's shoe size. Our measuring template already takes the necessary addition for the optimal fitting quality into account. Therefore, please order the size, which has been indicated by our measuring template. Adding the sentence “This shoe turns out big/small”, we point out shoes, which either turn out big or small. Please note our recommendation for your order. Our conversion table for children additionally states any size in cm.

To make sure that the child’s foot finds the necessary hold in the ball area, our children’s shoes are available in different widths. We state the relevant width for every shoe. You can find out the width of your child’s foot with our measuring template for children. All children's shoes are marked as follows:
- Check the length again. Either by using your thumb to find the dead space or if this is not possible because of a hard cap, by the following test:Hold the sole of the right shoe underneath the left foot and press it down strongly. In case of toddlers, there must be a gap of 8 to 15 mm between foot and shaft rim (point), for older children, the gap must be between 12 and 15 mm. Take the rim of the shaft and a possible lining into account. To check the ball measurement, run your thumb slightly over the leather in the ball area. The shoe fits, if the leather forms a slight crease. Whilst the child is standing up, additionally check the heel and ankle area. Make sure that the shoe is in proper alignment with the heel and that the ankle and the shaft are at the right distance. The shoe must not flap when the child is walking or running.
